Superyacht Deck Crew Training Course
Deckhand Crew Certification - The first step for superyacht careers
This course is designed to equip you with the skills and practical experience to become a fully productive Superyacht deck crew member, able to confidently accept any deckhand job on superyachts, megayachts, even gigayachts! across the globe.
You will graduate with three internationally MCA recognised certificates
- IYT International Crew Certificate
- Small Power Boat & RIB Master
- VHF Radio Operator Certificate
- PLUS, as a bonus, you will receive the NSW General Purpose Hand ‘Statements of Attainment’
Superyacht captains look very favourably upon these three international qualifications and having them will greatly improve your chances of finding quick placement on a superyacht. It will be the foundation to move up into higher-level crew positions. Many Captains and First Mates began their yachting careers in this role. This entry-level qualification can provide you with an opportunity to fill a gap year, spend a few years in a fast moving and dynamic industry, or it can become the cornerstone of a long and lucrative career in superyachting.
PLUS your training will give you the qualifications you need to begin working right away on any NSW registered commercial vessel under the NSW General Purpose Hand (GPH) classification.
This training is also the first step towards the higher level super yacht crew and superyacht captain career training.
