VHF/HF RADIO OPERATORS CERTIFICATE (LROCP)
Captains want all crew members to be certified to operate a VHF marine radio.
VHF/HF Long Range Marine Radio Operator's Certificate of Proficiency (LROCP) Examination
Most captains require every crew member be licensed to operate VHF/HF Radios as these are used in normal daily operations, sometimes from one part of the vessel to another, from Yacht to Tender, and in emergencies. The VHF/HF Long Range Marine Radio Operator's Certificate of Proficiency (LROCP) is required by law for anyone operating a VHF or HF radio of any size.
Main Features of the VHF/HF Long Range Radio Operator's Certificate of Proficiency (LROCP) Course
This is a full day course from 9:30am-5pm and covers:
- Radio Operation
- Types of Marine Radios
- Rules and Regulations governing radio use locally and in foreign ports.
- Emergency Distress Calls
- Ship to Ship Calls
- Ship to Shore Calls
You will be provided with the required study materials and forms and then sit a one hour examination for your radio operator's licence.
1 hour is allocated for the examination.
Superyacht Training Location
